Overview
A record of construction as it happens: brick masonry rising off a cast plinth, cantilevered slabs propped in timber, and openings framed before plaster.
The Brief
Build to drawing, with structure, masonry and openings checked at each stage rather than corrected afterwards.
Design Approach
Openings, slab edges and balcony projections were set on drawing so the shell needed no cutting or making good once the masonry reached lintel level.
Technical Approach
RCC plinth and frame with confined brick masonry, tie beams at lintel level, timber propping and shuttering checked before each pour, and seismic-conscious reinforcement detailing throughout.
